Apple is now being crystal clear: Manipulating the App Store rankings in an attempt to place one’s app at the top of the sales charts is a strict no-no.
With more than 500,000 apps in the App Store, getting one’s app to stand out from the crowd has become more and more of an imperative for developers of both paid and free apps.( best dvd ripper )
Recently we have noticed that several game companies are using ‘bots’ to keep their rankings in top 15,I suspected that they were using bots because I heard that it requires about 100,000 downloads per day to hold a ranking in top 15.
To be honest, none of this chart-gaming really affects me or anyone else that focuses on developing high-quality software, ( Restore iPod without iTunes ) Truly great products get good reviews, have a healthy word-of-mouth marketing machine, and tend to do well in the long run. If you want to get noticed, you just have to create a great product.
